Company Sector: Financial Services

Groundwork undertook an on-site resilience review Lovewell Blake LLP in December 2013. The review used the structure of the online Resilience Healthcheck at to discuss in detail and explore ways in which the company could improve its level of resilience under climate change and also to explore ways in which the company could evolve and develop its advisory services to clients.

Opportunities identified for Nwe;

  • Reviewing company mobile phone network and staff access to key contacts during emergencies
  • Reviewing Business Continuity Plan
  • Signing up to the Environment Agency’s flood warning service.

“Some of the things we hope to implement that were recommended to us include reviewing areas of our Business Continuity Plan as whilst we felt it was quite comprehensive, it had not fully addressed all areas.”  - Douglas Young, Lovewell Blake

“From a commercial perspective we felt we could communicate better with clients regarding business resilience as a topic for discussion outside of our normal brief and creating added value. Internally we felt we could improve flexible working policies. As a project for the future we also find the idea of providing a resilience service to clients interesting and will explore further.” - Douglas Young, Lovewell Blake
